Another device has got the update to the Android 4.4.2 after the Nexus devices. The Google play edition of HTC one has got it to the chart. HTC One GPE is receiving this update via OTA (over the air) but the users can still have manual update if missed out on the update notification. The HTC One GPE also received Android 4.4 on November 25.
HTC also posted its kernel source and frameworks files (sized at 468.4 MB) for HTC One Google Play Edition. Report says that this update has started rolling out safely and the firmware version is 3.62.1700.1 that is 4.4.2/KOT49H. Samsung Galaxy S4 has already received the Android update which came along with HTC One Google Play Edition. It is obvious that all the Google Play Edition handsets will receive the update very soon.
The OEMs such as Samsung, LG, Sony, Motorola and many other devices are likely to get Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. Google’s own Nexus devices are the only Smartphone to receive the KitKat OS update till now which has improved the features and performance of the device immensely.
