The local smartphone manufacturer, iBall has been targeting low-segment consumers by launching budget Android smartphones and tablets. The company has today launched yet another affordable tablet in its Slide series called as iBall Slide Gorgeo 4GL. The new tablet is priced at Rs. 6,999 and will go on sale soon in the country via all leading online and offline platforms. Along with the iBall Slide Gorgeo 4GL, the company has also unveiled a set of 5 detachable mSLR lenses and can be purchased separately for Rs. 1,499.
Talking about the specifications, the iBall Slide Gorgeo 4GL tablet flaunts a 7-inch (1024×600 pixels) IPS display with 169ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, it packs MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz accompanied with Mali-400 GPU. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It supports dual 4G sims and comes with basic connectivity options like 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support.
On the photography front, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie clicks. Interestingly, the front shooter is also accompanied with LED flash and is sure to attract selfie lovers. The tablet supports 21 regional languages and also includes lots of pre-loaded apps like Hungama Music, Microsoft Office apps, Asphalt Nitro and Bubble Bash 3.
The tablet comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 32GB. The device powers a 3500mAh battery that the company claims can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage.
