Procedure to Set Nova Launcher as Default Launcher in your Rooted ICS Phone:
- First up you need to Download the Nova Launcher APK file, Nova Launcher Zip and Nova Launcher Uninstall Zip in your computer and then connect the phone to the compute using the USB cable and then you will have to copy all the 3 downloaded files to your device’s SD Card.
- Once you finish copying, you need to remove the USB cable and navigate to the place where you have placed all these 3 files.
- Tap on the apk file which will install the Nova launcher. After this, you need to start your phone in the recovery mode. Please note that since the recovery mode differs for different devices, it’s difficult for us to mention in this article.
- Once you enter into the recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the Nova Launcher Zip file which you have placed in your phone.
- Once you select the same, it will take less than a minute to update with the same. Now, once you install the same, you need to select the option of “++++ Go Back ++++” > “reboot system now” so that the device is re booted successfully.
- To Uninstall this Nova launcher from your phone, you need to get into the recovery mode. In the recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the Nova Launcher Uninstall Zip file which you have placed in your phone.
- After a minute of selecting the file, the Novas launcher will be uninstalled and then select the option of “++++ Go Back ++++” > “reboot system now” in your recovery mode to reboot the phone.
