Lava International came up with two new Android smartphones with the 5-inch screens, and one of them is the Lava Iris 505 which is a lesser priced device with some mid-range specifications and a standard design which was quite a lot seen in the earlier devices from the company. The device is already available on Snapdeal, and the 5-inch screen has got a resolution of 854×480 pixels, while it has got an internal powering with 1.2 GHz Dual-core processor. The other smartphone that was launched today, was the Lava Iris 506Q.
The camera included on the rear side of the device is a 5-megapixel one with the LED flash, and the device can shoot videos with 720p HD quality. There’s a front VGA camera too included for the video chatting. As for the operating system version, it is the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS that you get out of the box, and the multitasking in the device would be handled by the 512MB of RAM. Lava had introduced a few gesture controls in the Lava Iris 504Q device earlier, and the same gesture controls would be available in the Iris 505 too.
The Iris 505 from Lava is a Dual-SIM device with the Dual standby, and both of them support the 3G connectivity. The device has got a 2000 mAh battery included but there is no details about the talktime or standby time provided by it on a full charge. The device is priced at Rs. 8999 in the Indian market, and as of now it’s available on the online store Snapdeal, but soon the retail stores too would be making it available for sale.
