Leshi Internet Information & Technology, also known as LeTV, is a Chinese entertainment company and the largest online video company in China. The company debuted into the highly crowded Chinese smartphone market earlier this year by launching three premium smartphones called as Le 1, Le 1Pro and Le Max. LeTV is one among the very few companies that gained a lot of popularity and success in the very short span of time.
Now, LeTV is all set to debut in the Indian smartphone market, and the company has also sent out the media invites for an event scheduled for January 5, 2016, to be held in New Delhi. The brand is already holding city based Le MeetUps to gain some popularity before officially entering the Indian market. Today, at its preview event in Banglore the company has confirmed that the LeTV Le Max will be the first smartphone to release in India. The Le Max will be officially launched at the Delhi event on Jan 5 and will be available from mid-January 2016.
Talking about the Le Max specifications, the smartphone features a 6.33-inch (2560×1440 pixels) 2K display and comes powered by Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz coupled with Adreno 430 GPU. The device comes with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.0 based EUI out of the box.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 21MP Sony IMX230 rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, LED flash and a 4MP front-facing shooter for video calling and selfie lovers with 81.6-degree wide-angle lens. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and microUSB Type-C port. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and Hi-Fi audio technology for superior sound quality. The device sports a sturdy metal build and is backed by a 3400mAh battery.
The company has also confirmed that it will customize the smartphones to suit Indian customer needs. Along with the Le Max, we can also expect the brand to launch popular Le 1, Le 1Pro and Le 1s smartphones that were launched earlier this year.
