NVIDIA has launched a new Android tablet device, named the NVIDIA Tegra Note, indicating that this would be a tablet device running the Tegra 4 CPU and the device is being manufactured by a contract partner and this tablet is going to make an international appearance including India, where NVIDIA has partnered with Xolo to make it the official seller in India.
It is a 7-inch display with the screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and its an IPS display with the support for NVIDIA DirectStylus technology, which is something that brings the stylus support to even the low cost tablet devices. The internal powering of the Tegra Note is excellent, with the Quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 GPU, clocking speeds at 1.8GHz, backed by 1GB RAM.
The Android version this device would run has not got detailed yet, but the other specifications are quite impressive. The Tegra Note has got two cameras, the rear one being a 5-megapixel lens while the front is a 0.3-megapixel one. The NVIDIA PureAudio technology included in this provides rich audio experience through the stereo speakers that are located on the front with a bass-reflex port.
The SmugMug’s Camera Awesome application is also included, and it has got some Tegra 4 based features which include tap-to-track and 100fps video recording, as well as slow motion playback of the videos. The NVIDIA TegraZone is what would make the gaming possible, where the Tegra-optimized games can be played and this also provides a support for the Bluetooth controllers for the gaming. The pre-installed apps even include a few which would make the note-taking and stylus usage experience even better, although the DirectStylus Pro pack is an optional one for people to purchase.
The Tegra Note from NVIDIA is priced at US$ 199, and this would roll out in different markets in the coming months, and as said above, it would be Xolo who would sell this tablet device in India.
