A50 LogoFor all those who are owning a Micromax A50 Ninja smartphone can now make the most as over a period of this article we will be helping you so as to root the device with the help of a simple guide. To help you serve better, we also jotted down the list of pre requisites which you will have to go through so as to make sure that the whole process of rooting completes successfully. The need for rooting Micromax A50 is because once you root the device you can then install hell lot of custom ROM firmwares along with the apps which need the root access. Though it’s not a compulsion, it’s recommended to back up all the data with the help of below mentioned steps. Alternatively, for your convenience you can also create a backup of all your data with the help of PC Suite.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

From the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, enable the USB Debugging, ensure that the USB debugging option is ticked. Minimum battery left in your device should not be less than 40% or else there is a risk of device getting turned off in the middle of rooting process.

Assuming that you are done with the above steps, you can now proceed to the next step where we have summed up a detailed tutorial on how to root the device.

Procedure to Root Micromax A50 Ninja smartphone:

  • Up next you now will have to unzip the mt65x3 usb vcom drivers and then create a folder on the Desktop preferably and unzip the SP Flash Tool v2.1134.00.7z.
  • Up next you will need to copy all the files MT6573_Android_scatter.txt and boot.img to the folder which you have created and unzipped the SP Flash Tool v2.1134.00.7z
  • Now, open the folder which you have extracted named as SP Flash Tool v2.1134.00.7z and right click on the Flash_tool.exe to run the same as Administrator.
  • In the Flash tool window, click on File and Open Scatter-loading File and on the pop-up window, select the file MT6573_Android_scatter.txt and click Open. Just in case if you see any pop up all you need to do is to just click on “OK”.
  • In the bottom pane you will find the flash tool window where you will have to uncheck all the options except BOOTIMG and click or double click on the BOOTIMG. A new pop up window will be coming up where you need to select boot.img file which you have copied in the initial step.
  • In the flash tool, select the option of USB Mode and then turn off your phone to reinsert the battery. Now, in the powered off state, connect your phone to the computer with the help of original USB cable after which all the drivers in your phone will be installed. Once the drivers are installed in your phone, unplug the cable from your phone and then again take out the battery from the phone and put it back again. Ensure that you are not turning ON the device.
  • In the flash tool window, you will see that the download option which you need to click on and then a new message will appear which will read “’Please insert USB cable in 14 seconds”. Now, connect your phone to the computer with the help of original USB cable which you got at the time of purchase. Once you connect the device, you will get to see the yellow progress bar and once the process is done, a pop up window will appear saying BOOTIMG downloaded.
  • Now, disconnect the device and re insert the battery to start the device again normally. Please note that at this stage it may take more than longer time for rebooting the device. Now unzip unlockroot23.zip and install the unlockroot23.exe and run the program as an Administrator. In the Unlock Root window, click on the ROOT option for rooting the device.
  • To check on whether your phone is rooted or not, download “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store where you will be able to find the root status. After this you will have to download the Superuser application from the Google PLAYS tore to update the binary database in SU.

Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
