Recently, we have seen a lot of leaks spotted in the databases of various Android benchmarks. Now, yet another Samsung device has been surfaced on the Geekbench listings that come powered by latest 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset. As per the rumors the device is believed to be Galaxy A9. It is the successor to the recently launched Galaxy A8.
The device spotted in Geekbench score database is named as Samsung msm8976fhdlte-eur-open, which is purported to be the Galaxy A9. Talking about the Snapdragon 620 SoC it is a SoC that will come with an eight-cores CPU out of which four are Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and other four are Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with Adreno 510 GPU.
Besides Snapdragon 620 chipset, the Galaxy A9 also packs 3GB RAM, it sports a 13MP rear camera and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. The benchmark score of the Galaxy A9 is 1325 and 4461 in single-core test and multi-core test respectively. The test scores of the device are pretty decent, considering it is not Qualcomm’s top of the line SoC.
