    Hi Neal,

I have just recently switched to ICS because I was sick of Ginger 2.3.3 overheating and because it kept rebooting itself.

However I notice im having the same problem with ICS too.. the phone keeps re-booting itself every so often, any ideas why?

Thanks for the help and keep uo the good work!

    Hi Neal !
Until now I have successfully installed any version from 6 to 11, using SAMSUNG USB Driver for Mobile Phones.

Today I flashed Build 12 and Google Apps (v7.1). Then I made WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition) and my GT-I9000 stuck at the boot screen… It is impossible to get into Recovery Mode. I can get into Donwload Mode ! But when I connect my phone via USB and via Odin – my PC cannot recognise the “unknown device”. OK, new drivers.

I tried Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Moblie_Phones_v1_4_6_0.exe – unsuccessfully – my PC cannot recognise the “unknown device” again.

I installed “Google USB Driver for Windows” (revision 4) with Android SDK and AVD Manager. But my computer’s
“Device Manager” cannot “Update Driver Software” – it displays an error : “Code 10” (The device cannot start).

    Please, help! Thanks in advance!

  22. Chris

    December 16, 2011 at 5:01 pm

Fist of all.. nice job done!
I Updated from CM7.1 to CM9.. first Build 5 and then to Build 8 (because Google directs me to the Build 5 Guide 😉 ).

Everything worked fine for me .. excluding 2 things:
    – Ringtone only plays once (okay I “fixed” it with a longer Ringtone)
    – I can’t syncronise with any of my accounts calenders. Neighter exchange, nor gmail calender sync works for me. In the Settings I have “com.android.calendar” lable.

Any Ideas what this could be?

    Regards
    Chris
