The wearable devices Samsung Gear 2, Samsung Gear 2 Neo and Samsung Gear fit were launched in India last month. Earlier they were launched in Febuary at the MWC and the date for the availability was set for April 11th. This trio will be available at the official Samsung India estore. Both the smartwatches, the Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo have a 1.63 inch (320×320 pixels) Super AMOLED display which happens to be similar to the first Gear. The Gear fit is of 1.83inch (432×128 pixels) Curved Super AMOLED display. These do not run on Android but instead run on Tizen OS, and Samsung had announced that even the successors for these smart watches would run the same Tizen OS.
One specification that is available in the Gear 2 and not in the Gear 2 Neo is that the Gear 2 has a 2-megapixel auto-focus camera capable of recording 720p HD videos. Like any other latest gadget, this trio has an IP67 certification for dust and water resistant. They also connect to devices using bluetooth 4.0 LE. This smartwatch comes with a lot of features like Smart Notifications, Personalized Fitness Motivator, Instant Notifications, Music on the Go, etc.
The other basic features include Calculator, ChatON, Flashlight, Quick Settings, Voice Memo, Smart Relay, S Voice, Stopwatch, Timer and many more. The Gear fit has a Pedometer, a Heart Rate sensor, Accelerator and Gyro sensors as well. All these accessories have Heart Rate sensor to monitor your heart rate easily and offers Notifications for calls, SMS, EMails etc, when paired with Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
Pricing and Color Details
The Samsung Gear 2 comes in Gold Brown and Titan Silver colors, the Gear 2 Neo comes in Gray and Black colors and the Gear fit comes only in Black. The Gear 2 is available for Rs 21,550, The Gear 2 Neo will be available for 15,450 and The Gear fit will be priced at 15,450. This trio would go on sale after the Samsung Galaxy S5 on April 11th.
