How to Update Galaxy SL I9003 with Jellybean 4.1.1 Codename 3.5.0 Firmware

- Please make sure that you are not backing up the data with the below steps and not with the help of KIES PC suite. Ensure that you are not backing up the data with the help of PC Suite as it won’t detect the device in the custom ROM firmware. In the process of firmware update, the data might get lost or corrupted.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Also, the minimum battery life should be 60% or else device may get turned off in the middle of firmware update. Uninstall all the security tools installed in your phone. Head over to the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, enable the USB Debugging.
- This firmware can only be applied to the devices which are rooted. To check, download the “Root Checker” app from the PLAY Store. Once the device is rooted, you will have to download the “ROM Manager” app too from the Google PLAY Store.
