How to Update Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 with ICS Aura V1 Custom ROM Firmware

Procedure to Update Galaxy Y with Aura V1 Custom ROM Firmware:

Download Aura V1 Custom ROM firmware Package and place the same in your phone.

  • Before proceeding, you need to ensure that you are on the rooted firmware of DXKL2 as this firmware can only be applied on the rooted devices. To check on whether the device is rooted successfully or not, you can check the same by downloading the app called “Root Checker”. To check whether he firmware has been successfully updated or not, you need to go to the path “Applications > Settings > About Phone” where you will find the firmware version mentioned as DXKL2 2.3.6 Gingerbread version.
  • The recovery mode can be entered by pressing  Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button as shown in the below video.

  • In the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the ICS Aura V1 Custom ROM Firmware Package which is placed in the phone.
  • Once the process is done, you will see that the recovery mode screen will be shown again where you will have to select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of “reboot system now” for rebooting the system. If the phone refuses to show the home screen even after 5 minutes of restart, you need to then reinsert the battery.

Tip: Just in case if due to some reasons if the update process gets failed or interrupted, then you need to apply the update again by following the steps again from the start. Don’t forget to restore the backup which you have taken in the initial steps.
