Viota M970 9.7″ IPS Display Tablet to Sell at $120 with Android ICS

At Mobile World Congress Eric Schmidt clearly said that future Android tablet is about having a cheaper price and easy availability. As of now there are abundant affordable Android based tablet available in the market but most of them are pretty horrible which comes out with outdated tech specifications. At the ongoing CeBIT 2012 event being held at Hanover, Germany, Viota M970 an Android tablet was announced.  This event is more of computer products than Electronics item launches but Viota M970 was shown up there. Lets go through the specifications and features of the Viota M970 Android tablet.

The Viota M970 Android tablet is powered with 9.7 inches IPS display with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. This is the same display which is found on the iPad tablets adopted by Apple. Powered with 1.5 Ghz processor and Mali 400 graphics, the specifications looks to specify that this is a high end tablet. With that it adds 512 MB of RAM and comes with 4 Gb internal storage capacity. If you think that you want more space than the 4 Gb internal memory then micro SD card slot is provided to pump in extra memory that you might need to store data. Not only that, this tablet comes with 5 mega pixel rear camera which can be used to take photos and videos at HD quality and 2 mega pixel front facing camera can be used for video chat and video calls.

The tablet is equipped with 6000 mAh battery providing a long lasting operating and you would be interesting to find that Android version included in this tablet is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which presents a beautiful overlay along with adding various other functions as well. The tablet has HDMI 1.3 output and micro USB port.

Do check out other tablet which were announced today and maybe releasing during the same time, among them are the Gigabyte S700 tablet which is with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and Sruta a 7 inches tablet coming out with Android 4.0 at $ 200.
