ZTE after then dream run at the Mobile World Congress held at Barcelona in February, they have right now come up with the announcement of the world’s thinnest smartphone. This announcement from the ongoing Computex 2012 Fair which is held at Taipei.
ZTE Athena Smart Phone
The ZTE Athena is been announced by ZTE today and we are surprised to see that this device as rumoured would be with the 6.2 mm thickness making it the thinnest smartphone. This smartphone beats the Huawei Ascend P1 S by margin of 0.03 mm. Going through the known specification this would feature 4.5 inches touchscreen display along with 720p display along with the Cortex A15 chip and this comes with the 64 GB internal storage along with the Miflavor user interface. Its said that it would be powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system the latest in the Android line and the specification make pretty clear that this would be a high end device.We would know more about the specifications of this device in the coming days as this is just the formal introduction to the best feature of ZTE Athena smart phone and there is no image available as well. Also this smartphone would be out with black Kevlar edition which is the same coating as we seen on Motorola Razr, thinnest smartphone at the time of launch.
So the discussion on the world’s slimmest phone would go on until there would be any more device launched by Motorola. Until now Oppo Finder is the leading the competition with the thickness at 6.1 mm. It would be good if ZTE launches this device very soon and doesn’t take much time like its competitor Huawei has taken. We understand that they have not much market presence but it would be good for them to come out with the device very soon.
