The Chinese handset maker, ZTE has been aggressively launching smartphones in the last couple of months in different countries. The brand has recently released two new mid-range devices in China called as ZTE V7 Max and ZTE A910. Today, the company has launched a new entry-level smartphone in its Blade series called as ZTE Blade L5 Plus in Thailand. The smartphone comes with low-end specifications and will be targeted towards the first time users. The ZTE Blade L5 Plus is the slightly upgraded variant of the Blade that launched last year. The smartphone is priced at 2,990 Thai Baht (approx $85) and is already available for purchase.
In terms of specifications, the ZTE Blade L5 Plus flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD display that offers a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood, the smartphone packs MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 32GB.The device comes with 4G-LTE support and other basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port.
On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie clicks. The handset houses a 2150mAh battery that can easily take you through an entire day considering the low-end specifications. The dimensions of the device measure 143 x 72 x 8.3 mm weighs around 160 grams and comes in Black color option.
