ZTE V66 Android Honeycomb 3.2 Tablet – Features & Specs

Chinese mobile handset maker ZTE is now determined to come up with high-end smartphones and tablets to expand their business further. The ZTE as a mobile maker was known for the cheap handsets and mobile devices manufacturing earlier but as the Android has arrived it has taken a step further. ZTE is about to launch an Android tablet in United States and the launch will come up soon.

As the heat of ZTE high end tablets spurs around, we hear this tablet has gone pass through the FCC regulatory certification very recently and we could get through some of the features and specifications of this tablet. The ZTE V66 will be powered with the Android 3.2 Honeycomb version of operating system. Again when this will be launch, it would be disappointing to hear that although Ice Cream Sandwich is launched and its available for most the devices you will be on high thinking whether to go with ZTE V66 with Android 3.2 or go with recent tablets with Android 4.0 updated. Again there are pros for this as ZTE would be reviewing its price since just before the launch as this is not with the latest processor.

ZTE V66 Tablet

The ZTE V66 will be powered with 1.2 Ghz dual core processor and it will be of 7 inches form factor with a WXGA display providing a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The 5 mega pixel rear camera will enable you to take pictures and HD video recording at 720p and 2 mega pixel front facing camera can be used for video calls. It’s equipped with 1 GB of RAM and flash memory of around 16 GB as the internal storage. It will be powered with 4000 mAh battery to provide this tablet a 10 hours of continuous operation. The tablet will have the option of Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi tether via IEEE 802.11 a/g/b/n. This tablet will support Verizon 4G and provides LTE speed for faster internet access. Other thing, it will include a micro USB port and HDMI connectivity.

Again ZTE didn’t comment on any price of it but it’s clear that it will be injected in United States via Verizon Wireless as it corresponds to that frequency and price will be announced just before launch. I am sure ZTE and Verizon will keep the price in check so that this tablet will compete with others in the market.

This 7 inches tablet will succeed the Galaxy Tab 7 by Samsung on Verizon Wireless. While Galaxy Tab 7 was a 3G tablet this tablet will bring out the 4G LTE speed on test on Android tablets and it would be interesting to see the results.
