Low cost tablet market has now been fuelled with competition with the introduction of Aakash 4 Android tablet which comes with the 7 inches of screen size along with the LTE support. Recently Government of India has floated the tenders for making the next generation tablet via Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGSD). While earlier Datawind had manufactured this Aakash variants of tablets, there are other manufacturers like Samsung and LG too working on similar affordable LTE tablets and we will see them with 4G LTE operators like airtel and Reliance Jio in India.

Specs and Features of Aakash 4:

Aakash 4 Android tablet comes with the 7 inches of screen size along with the scratch resistant capability. The best part of this tablet is that it is priced in a very affordable segment. If you minus the looks which are not so impressive, then this tablet doesn’t have any issues at least in terms of the specs and features offered. Along with the capacitive touch screen, this device also comes with 2G, 3G, 4G connectivity options. In terms of memory, this phone comes with 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of micro sd card slot.

Along with the front facing VGA camera, this device also comes with the Bluetooth and WIFI connectivity options. The device will support document formats like DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, ODT, ODP and ODS, and video formats like MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI and 3GP. Price and Availability:

Aakash 4 will be available very soon as it has just been announced. This device is launched with the price tag of Rs. 3,999 and will be available in March 2014. Theis tablet will be available at lower price points for students and Mr. Sibal also said that the prices of the tablets would be slashed by Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 in some time.
