Nowadays many companies are releasing affordable smartphones in US markets, and the latest company to join the list is Acer. Acer has launched two new budget smartphones today called Liquid Jade Z and Liquid Z410 with 4G LTE and dual SIM dual capability support. Hugo Hernandez, VP of Acer America Smartphone Business Group, said, “Our newest smartphones for the U.S. market are thin, light and outfitted with the convenient tools people depend on for navigating and communicating.”
Liquid Z410
It is the most affordable smartphone among these two; Liquid Z410 uses a 4.5-inch 960×540 resolution IPS display with 245ppi as pixel density. It comes powered by MediaTek MT6732M quad-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.3GHz backed with 1GB/2GB RAM, 8GB/16GB built-in storage and microSD card support for expansion upto 32GB. It sports a 5MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 2MP selfie shooter.
It has dual sim dual standby support, and connectivity includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0. It comes packed with a 2000mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS out of the box. The dimensions of the device measure 136 x 66.7 x 9.9 mm and weighs 145 grams. It will be available in Black color and is priced at $129 for 1GB RAM version and $149 for 2GB RAM variant.
Liquid Jade Z
It is an upgraded version of Liquid Z410 with a better display, camera, and processor. Liquid Jade Z features a 5-inch 720p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. It comes powered by Mediatek MT6732 quad-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz alongside Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 1GB RAM. The device has 8GB onboard storage and microSD card support for expansion upto 32GB.
It sports a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus, LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. The device supports dual-sim functionality and connectivity include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0. It comes packed with 2300mAh battery offering upto 7 hours of talk time and 410 hours of standby and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
The dimensions of the handset measure 143.5 x 69.8 x 8 mm and weighs 110 grams. It will be available in two colors- Black, White. Liquid Jade Z is priced at $229 and another variant named Liquid Jade Z Plus with 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage is priced at $249 with other specifications similar to Liquid Jade Z.
There are many other budget smartphones available in the US market with same specs or better specs at a similar price. While the Jade Z is already released, Z410 will arrive in September.
