Alcatel has been doing back-to-back announcements of their Android smartphones in their One Touch series, where they announced quite a few large screen devices which include the Alcatel One Touch 8HD Android Tablet, the Alcatel One Touch Scribe Pro, and now at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, they have announced the One Touch Hero, a 6-inch Android phone with some good specs.
The 6-inch display packs in a beautiful resolution of 1080p, with the IPS technology. The device looks quite brilliant in the design, and under the hood, you get to see a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor which is coupled up by 2GB of RAM. The company hasn’t made every minute detail available, but whatever was shared could give an idea that the One Touch Hero is a rockstar, but wish Alcatel had such a user base.
On the rear side, there’s a 13-megapixel camera with the LED flash and this is capable of shooting videos at 1080p Full HD quality. On the front, there’s a 2-megapixel camera for the video chatting.
The built-in storage which would be provided by the company is 16GB or 32GB as an option, and the device has got a 3400 mAh battery, quite a lot which could give some long hours of usage. More than the specifications and device features itself, the accessories for the device make it more tempting. There’s something that acts as a landscape stand as well as a projector for the device.
There is an E-Ink cover included with the device, which provides an extra E-ink layer on the display of the device and the E-Ink cover connects to the device through the pins on the back of the device. There’s a second cover dubbed MagicFlip which adds an LED light only for the notifications.
There’s also a Bluetooth-enabled feature phone which helps in making calls, sending and receiving the messages through Bluetooth connection with the Hero. Everything looks good, but the company hasn’t made any details available about the pricing and availability of the One Touch Hero. Check below for the specifications of the device.
