Update Oct 20, 2015: As said earlier, Alcatel has officially launched the One Touch Flash 2 smartphone in India priced at Rs. 9,299. The smartphone will come in Volcanic Gray color and will be exclusively sold online via Flipkart sale starting from October 27th.
Earlier Sep 22, 2015: Alcatel OneTouch has unveiled a new camera-centric smartphone dubbed as OneTouch Flash 2 the successor to its Alcatel OneTouch Flash that released last year. The handset was launched in an event held in China and will also be available in India soon exclusively via Flipkart.
Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood, it comes powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali-T720 MP4 GPU and 2GB RAM. The device has 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion upto 128GB.
It sports a 13MP rear camera with Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL Sensor, dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens with blue glass optical filter, PDAF and 80-degree wide angle. On the front, there is a 5MP shooter with Soft LED flash and f/2.2 aperture for better selfie clicks. The device supports dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE connectivity and other basic connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port.
The smartphone comes packed with a 3000mAh battery that offers 10 hours of talk time, 30 hours of music playback and 600 hours of standby time. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and will be available in colors- Volcanic Grey and Mica White.
The price of the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 has not been revealed yet. Apart from India the device will roll out in Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore starting from this month through online retailer Lazada.
