Alcatel OneTouch has launched many smartphones recently like Alcatel OneTouch Hero, Idol X, Idol S and Idol Mini that offered decent specifications. Now, the smartphone maker is ready to land in the Indian tablet market and launched their first flagship tablet Alcatel OneTouch POP 8S recently. The company announced the tablet at IFA 2014. It is now available in India and will be sold exclusively through Flipkart priced at Rs. 10,499.

Talking about the specifications, POP 8S uses an 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) WXGA IPS display offering 160ppi as pixel density. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB RAM. The device has 8GB onboard storage and microSD card support for expansion upto 64GB.
It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 3MP front-facing camera for video calling. It is a single sim device with 4G-LTE support, and other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0.
The tablet comes packed with a 4060mAh battery that delivers 351 hours on standby and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS out of the box. The device is just 7.9mm thick; it’s dimensions measure 209 x 123 x 7.99 mm and weighs 327 grams. The handset will be available in two colors- Black and White.
