Alcatel OneTouch has expanded its Pixi 4 lineup by launching three new smartphones and a tablet at the CES 2016 event held in Las Vegas. The smartphones are called as Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 (3.5), Pixi 4 (4), Pixi 4 (6) and the tablet is named as Pixi 4 (7). The company is yet to reveal the prices of all the devices but has confirmed that the smartphones and tablet will be available for sale starting Wednesday.
Let’s talk about the devices in detail:
Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 (3.5)
The Pixi 4 (3.5) flaunts a 3.5-inch (480×320 pixels) LCD display with pixel density of 165ppi and comes powered by MediaTek MT6572M dual-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz coupled with Mali 400 GPU. The device comes with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and also support microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB. The low-end smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box
The device sports a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP VGA front shooter for selfie images. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and includes basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset comes backed by a 1300mAh battery that can last upto 4 hours of talk time and upto 255 hours of standby time. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 116 x 62 x 9.95 mm and will come in White and Champagne color variants.
Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 (4)
The Pixi 4 (4) comes with a 4-inch (800×480 pixels) WVGA display offering a pixel density of 233ppi. Under the hood, is the MediaTek MT6580M quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali 400 GPU. The device comes in two variants one with 512MB RAM/4GB of onboard storage while the other with 1GB RAM/8GB of storage and also includes a microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB.
The smartphone sports a 5MP/2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP/0.3 MP front-facing camera depending on the RAM/Storage variant of the device. Connectivity options on the dual sim supported device includes 2G/3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port. The handset packs a 1500mAh battery that can deliver upto 8 hours of talk time and upto 480 hours of standby time. The smartphone runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and will be the cheapest handset to run on the latest Android OS. Its dimensions are 121.3 x 64.4 x 9.7 mm and will come in colors Black, White, Red, and Silver.
Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 (6)
The OneTouch Pixi 4 (6) features a phablet-sized 6-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display with 244ppi as pixel density and comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. The phablet supports dual sim dual standby and like the Pixi 4 (4), also runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for selfie lovers. It comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, 2G/3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB port. The handset comes backed by a 2580mAh battery that can last upto 16 hours of talk time and upto 600 hours of standby time. The dimensions of the phablet measure 165 x 83.8 x 8.35 mm weighs 186 grams and will come in Black, Green, Red, Pink, Silver and Gold color options.
Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 (7)
The last one to add to the list is the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 (7) tablet that comes with entry-level specifications. The tablet flaunts a 7-inch (1024×600 pixels) LCD display with 169ppi as pixel density and packs a MediaTek MT8321 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1 GHz accompanied with Mali 400 MP2 GPU. The device comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable upto 32GB using a microSD card slot.
Regarding the camera, the tablet features a 2MP rear shooter with no LED flash and a 0.3MP VGA front-facing camera for video chats. The single sim supported Pixi 4 (7) includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG functionality. The device powers a similar 2650mAh battery and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The Pixi 4 (7) is the first tablet to run on latest Android OS. Its dimensions measure 189.2 x 107.6 x 9.15 mm and weighs 255 grams.
