Archos Diamond Tab with 2K Display & 3GB RAM Announced for $275

It is only a few days Archos announced three new smartphones Archos 50 Cesium based on Windows 10 and other two Android-based devices named Archos Diamond S and Archos 50e Helium. Now they are gearing up for the launch of their first octa-core tablet called Archos Diamond Tab. Archos will showcase the Diamond Tab at IFA 2015 in Berlin alongside Diamond S, 50 Cesium, and 50e Helium smartphones.

Loic Poirier, CEO, ARCHOS, said, “Tablets have become a crucial piece of hardware in many customer’s tech lineups. We wanted to expand our Diamond line to include a tablet without sacrificing any of the specs that make an ARCHOS Diamond special.”

The flagship tablet features 7.9-inch 2K (2048 x 1536) IPS display and comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT8752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz coupled with ARM Mali T760-MP2 GPU and 3GB RAM. The device has 32GB internal storage and microSD card support for further expansion of storage.

On the camera front, it sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing shooter for selfies and video calls. The tablet has single sim support with 4G-LTE connectivity, and other connectivity options are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi a/b/g/n, Wifi hotspot, GPS and microUSB 2.0. The device comes packed with a 4800mAh Li-Poly battery with Quick Charging support. The tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The tablet measures 202 x 134 x 7.8 mm and weighs 360 grams.

Archos Diamond Tab is priced at £179 ($250), and that price tag is identical to the specs it offers. The tablet will be showcased at the IFA 2015 that ill be held in Berlin starting from September 4th. THe devicewill be available in styock starting from October 2015.
