Archos has just unveiled four Android smartphones which are budget-friendly and come with some very decent specifications – Archos Titanium 40, 45, 50 and 53 smartphones and these come with the pricing of Euro 100 to 160 when available for sale. These are Dual-SIM smartphones, and you can check out the details of each of them below. The model numbers assigned to these smartphones are based on the screen sizes.
Screen size & Resolution
The screen sizes of the various Titanium smartphones from Archos are as given below:
- Archos Titanium 40: 4-inch, 480 x 800 pixels resolution
- Archos Titanium 45: 4.5-inch, 480 x 854 pixels resolution
- Archos Titanium 50: 5-inch, 540 x 960 pixels resolution
- Archos Titanium 53: 5.3-inch, 480 x 854 pixels resolution
Processor, Storage
The processor included in all the four Titanium smartphones is the same: 1.3GHz dual-core MTK6572w processor, and that is supported by 512MB of RAM. The internal storage provided in the device is 4 GB, which is quite low, but the MicroSD card slot is there for the storage expansion.
All the Titanium devices run the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, and they have a 5-megapixel camera on the rear side, with the LED flash support. The batteries included in these are different in capacities though.

If one doesn’t want an expansion of storage through the MicroSD card, they are still getting the Google Drive 15GB free storage. The connectivity in these devices extend the best to 3G H+ to 21 Mbps.

- Titanium 45: €129.99 ($178)
- Titanium 50: €149.99 ($205)
- Titanium 53: €159.99 ($219)
Considering that the Archos lineup has got better since the Android 4.0 ICS version, these smartphones seem to be a good choice, especially the Titanium 50 for the qHD display and a neat battery, with everything else being almost the same in the other devices.
