Asus had recently launched Pegasus 3 smartphone in China. Now, the company has announced a new tablet in the Zenpad series to offer for it’s consumers in the U.S on Verizon network, which is named as Asus Zenpad Z8. Last year, Asus had launched Zenpad S 8.0 tablet. The tablet comes with a sleek design and hairline pattern around the frame for comfort feel in your hand. It also has a dual front speakers with DTS-HD sound for better audio experience.
The tablet features a 7.9-inch IPS 2K screen with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and offers a pixel density of 324ppi. It has a 178-degree wide viewing angle, which will give all without irritating lag. Under the hood, it comes powered by hexa-core processor clocks at 1.8 GHz accompanied by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC paired with Adreno 510 Graphics which is the same chipset seen on Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 smartphone. The Zenpad Z8 tablet runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow laid on top.
Connectivity options on Zenpad Z8 tablet include 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and FM radio, and USB Type-C port. There is a 16GB internal storage which will further expand up to 128 GB via microSD card slot and 2 GB of RAM. There is a pre-installed SIM card (3FF) support. It has an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and 2-megapixel front snapper per selfies and video chats. It can capture the low light images on the device thanks to PixelMaster technology.
The Asus Zenpad Z8 tablet comes packed with a 4680mAh capacity battery that can deliver a full day charging. It measures 205.2 x 136.3 mm of dimensions and weight is around 320 grams. The tablet will be available in black and white color options, and retail package is priced at $249. It offers the two-year contract for $149.99 or can also get the device for $10.41 upto 24 months. The tablet will be available for pre-orders on Verizon Wireless Network from June 23rd.
