ASUS to bring Zenfone 3 series to India on 17 August

As per the invitation, we have received, Asus is launching Zenfone 3 series smartphones in India on 17th of August which was announced earlier in the Computex 2016 event in Taipei.But we are yet to confirm which devices will be unveiled from the series. And as per reports, Asus CEO Jerry Shen might present at the event.So stay tuned to know more about this.

As expected three variants of this series will be unveiled; ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Ultra, ZenFone 3 Deluxe as seen in the previous series.These are the features we expect as per the launch of these devices in other countries so far. All three of them have USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor and Android Marshmallow with Asus’ own latest Zen UI 3.0.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is expected to have full metal aluminum alloy unibody, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, an upgrade to 820SoC. It is having 5.7 inches full HD Super AMOLED display with 6GB RAM. The rear camera is expected to feature a 23MP shooter with an IMX318 image sensor having f/2.0 aperture. Also, it is expected to feature 4-axis optical image stabilization and 4K video recording. Having Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, it supports QC3.0 fast charging and features a reversible USB 3.0 Type-C port. It is also coming with “always on” display like Galaxy S7. The Deluxe itself expected to come with three variants based on RAM and inbuilt storage. However, all the three variants might not get released at once in India. And these are expected to be priced ranging from 32,000 to 50,000 INR.

The ZenFone 3 Ultra features a large 6.8 inch Full HD display which would compete with other smartphones at this screen size and might attract multimedia content lovers. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 SoC along with Adreno 510 GPU and it has 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. Having a large display, it features few extra features one of which is Asus’s exclusive True2Life+ Video technology to experience 4K UHD videos, and another is Hi-resolution Audio (HRA) along with powerful speakers having 5-magnet, Dolby-certified design. It also claims to have the same 23MP rear camera and QC3.0 technology as Deluxe. And it sports a large battery of 4600mAh probably larger than the Deluxe. It is expected to be priced around 35,000 to 37,000 INR.

And finally, the basic ZenFone 3 comes with basic features having lowest price as the name suggests. It comes with two variants having 5.5 inches and 5.2 inches full HD Super IPS display which comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass on both sides of the phone. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2.0 GHz Processor and the 5.2-inch variant is to have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, and the 5.5-inch variant is to have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It sports 16MP rear Camera with autofocus feature and a front 8MP camera. It also features fingerprint sensor and packs a 3000mAh battery. And the pricing would be around 16,000 to 20,000 INR.
