Asus has launched the Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) tablet in India. The Asus Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) will be exclusively available at company’s stores and Flipkart. The Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) was announced at Computex 2014.
The Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) features an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It is powered by the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 1.33GHz quad-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company’s Asus ZenUI on top.
On camera front, the Asus Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) includes a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options apart from 3Ginclude Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. The tablet weighs 328 grams.
The Fonepad 8 features 5.06mm thin narrow bezels which provide a 72.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. The new 8-inch Asus Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) measures 12cm across. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage and is further expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB).
It comes equipped with a 4000mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 12 hours of video playback or browsing the Web or up to 21 hours of talk time.
The Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) has been priced at Rs. 13,999. The tablet will be available in Black and Gold colour variants.
