ASUS Nexus 7- Steps to Update with Jellybean 4.1.2 Liquid JB v2.0 RC7 Firmware

Procedure to Update ASUS Nexus 7 with Team Liquid AOSP based RC7 Firmware:

  • Download the Liquid JB v2.0 RC7 and Google Apps Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place these two zip files in your Google Nexus 7 tablet.
  • Up next disconnect the device from the computer and download the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store. Open the ROM Manager app in your Nexus tablet and select the option of “Flash Clock Work mod Recovery” and then once its flashed successfully, select the option of “Reboot into Recovery Mode”.
  • In recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the Liquid JB v2.0 RC7 and Google Apps Package which you have placed in the device. Once the file is selected, it will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying the update and once the update is finished, you will see a message like “install from sd card ompleted”.
  • To check on whether the Team Liquid AOSP based RC7 Firmware has been updated or not, you need to check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will find the firmware version.

Note: just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.
