Asus launched a new smartphone ‘Zenfone 2E‘ in the US and will be available exclusively through AT&T. It is priced at $120 at looks similar to the original Zenfone 2, but the specs are very much downgraded. With the launch of Zenfone 2, the world’s first smartphone to come with 4GB RAM Asus had gained much popularity in the US.
The Zenfone 2E sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. It has 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM, 8GB of internal storage with MicroSD card support up to 64GB and a 2,500mAh non-removable battery.
On the camera side, it comes with 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera. Both the camera comes with an aperture of f/2.0. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop based ZenUI. It has connectivity features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0. The company also includes white and black swappable covers within the box.
The devices measures 148.1 x 71.4 x 10.9 mm and weighs 155 grams. It can be purchased from Walmart and Target stores starting today and will come to AT&T shops on July 24th. If any who looks to purchase this device, the 2GB variant of Zenfone 2 priced at $200 can be a good option that gives much better specs for those extra $80.
