Asus ZenFone Go with 2GB RAM & Android 5.1 OS Launched in India at Rs. 7,999

Today, Asus has launched a new budget-friendly smartphone in its ZenFone lineup dubbed as Zenfone Go. The new Asus Zenfone Go is already listed on Flipkart priced at Rs. 7,999 and will be available for purchase soon.

The specifications of the device are 5-inch HD (1280×720) display offering a pixel density of 294ppi with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It comes powered by the MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali-400 MP2 GPU. It is unknown why the company skipped the 4G LTE, where almost all the recent devices ranging from the entry-level to high-end smartphones are equipped with the LTE connectivity.

It comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options for the dual-sim capable Zenfone Go include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port.

The handset comes packed with a 2070mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop based Asus ZenUI. The dimensions of the device measure 144.5 x 71 x 10 mm weighing around 135 grams and will be available in colors- Black, White, Red. It will also be available in 16GB storage variant the pricing for it is not yet revealed.

Once launched it has to face tough competition from the other brands like Lenovo, Xiaomi, Yu and few others; which are offering more than decent specs in the entry-level smartphones.
