We’ve been hearing more and more about the Kreyos SmartWatch and the response from people has been great after it was listed on Indiegogo for the funding, and the total funding has crossed 1.1 million, 1100% of what the company was asking for. But there’s a reason for such an overwhelming response and funding from everyone – Features! The Kreyos Meteor is way ahead of the other Smart watches in the league, and below is the comparison between the several watches:
Connectivity
The connectivity that is taken as the base by most of the smart watches is the Bluetooth technology. While the Sony SmartWatch2 can connect through Bluetooth 3.0, the other ones are compatible with the Bluetooth 4.0 tech devices too. Kreyos Meteor though holds an advantage here, with the ANT+ technology which is a protocol used for the health and fitness management, with the Ultra-low power wireless connectivity.
Sensors
The sensors included in the Kreyos Meteor are the 6-axis accelerometer and the gyrometer, while most of the other watches have got the 6-axis accelerometer with no gyrometer in them.
Battery
This category for us has always been just a fake stat given by every brand, because they actually mention that around 7-8 days of battery life is provided, but it doesn’t last for 2-3 days if continuously connected and used. This we won’t be able to comment about the Kreyos Meteor and it’s battery life. The charging of the battery is possible using a MicroUSB cable for the Sony SmartWatch 2, but all the other smart watches have got their own dedicated chargers.
Multilingual support
The language font support is needed for many, who don’t take English as the primary language. While the Pebble smartwatch and the Sony Smartwatch 2 has only English as the language available, Kreyos Meteor is said to come with the support for 8 languages.
OS Compatibility
Although Bluetooth is what transmits all the data between the watch and the smartphone, the compatibility with the OS of the smartphone is needed for the advantage to be taken with the various apps in them. The Pebble, Sony Smartwatch 2 and the MetaWatch have the compatibility with the Android and iOS devices, but that gets extended even with the Windows Phone 8 devices in the Kreyos Meteor.
Display
The display of the Kreyos Meteor smartwatch and the Pebble smartwatch is the same, with the 1.26 inch LCD screen having a resolution of 144 x 168 pixels, while the Smartwatch 2 from Sony has a little bigger and colorful screen with the 1.6 inch display having 220 x 176 pixels of resolution.
Now, having compared all this, we have seen the specs and features list of all the smartwatches to understand that the Kreyos Meteor is quite advanced with the technology supporting a lot of extra features and controls, and here’s where it is better than the other smart watches in the comparison:
- Gesture Control
- Voice Control with the in-built Mic
- iOS Siri Control
- In-built activity tracker
- Cloud data
- Sports mode
- Interactive gamification platform
- Graphs, Trends and Activity recording
There are quite a lot of other advanced smart watches such as the I’m Watch, Agent Smartwatch, Martian Smartwatch and such but the ones that are popular are included in the above list. We are sure to see something good in the coming time when the Kreyos smartwatch is actually shipped, and when we would be able to command the watch to do the functions to guide the smartphone.
