Recently, YEZZ launched an interesting smartphone called as YEZZ SFERA with the unique 360-degree camera on both front and rear side of the device. Now, Catphones has released an innovative smartphone named as Cat S60 the world’s first smartphone with built-in Thermal Camera. The device will be showcased at the upcoming MWC 2016 event in Barcelona from Feb 22nd to 25th.

The Cat S60 features dual rear camera’s among them one is standard 13MP camera that shoots normal photos and the other is a Thermal Camera from FLIR, who is the leader in thermal imaging technology. The thermal camera can be used to detect heat loss around windows and doors, spotting moisture and missing insulation, identifies over-heating electrical appliances and can also visualize heat and measures surface temperatures from a distance of upto 50 to 100 feets. The device is a perfect tool to see through the smoke and will be helpful for building professionals, utility workers, and emergency first responders among others. The rear camera is accompanied with dual-tone LED flash and it also features a 5MP front shooter for selfie lovers.
Catphones is known for making rugged smartphones, and the latest Cat S60 is no exception as it is also an extremely tough and rugged smartphone. The device comes with strengthened Die Cast Frame making it withstand drops on concrete from upto 1.8 meters, and it is also dustproof and waterproof. The smartphone can go under water for a depth of upto 5 meters that is higher than other devices which are limited to 2 meters. The handset can also be controlled with wet fingers or while wearing gloves and also offers high quality audio experience (>105dB).
Regarding specifications, the Cat S60 flaunts a 4.7-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Super bright display (540nits) offering a pixel density of 312ppi. It comes powered by Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi GPS and microUSB port. A 3800mAh battery backs the handset and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
