With the demand for 4G-LTE devices increasing, the company last month launched a 4G-LTE enabled smartphone called as Celkon Diamond 4G Plus in India. Today, the brand has officially released two new 4G-LTE supported tablets called as Celkon Diamond 4G Tab 7 and Diamond 4G Tab 8 in India. The tablets are priced at Rs. 6,333 & Rs. 8,333 respectively and are available for sale via both online and offline retailers across the country. Talking about the specifications, the Diamond 4G Tab 8 flaunts an 8-inch (1280×800 pixels) HD WXVGA display that offers a pixel density of 189ppi while the Diamond 4G Tab 7 features a 7-inch display. Under the hood, it comes powered by same 64-bit MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes with 8GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 32GB.
On the photographic section, the device sports a 3.2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie clicks. It comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support. The tablet comes backed by a larger 4000mAh battery that is rated to offer upto 9 hours of talk time and upto 280 hours of standby time. The dimensions of the device measure 211.8 x 125.8 x 9.3 mm weighs around 380 grams and comes in Grey and Champagne color options. Additionally, the brand is also offering an exclusive discount offer for college students of Rs. 1000 on 4G Tab 8 and Rs. 500 on 4G Tab 7.
