Coby Launches MID7042 MID8042 MID9042 MID9742 MID1042 MID1045 Tablets

The company Coby which as previously announced various Android tablets like MID 1125, MID 1126 and MID 7042 and various tablets. In the Coby company stall at Consumer Electronics Show held at Las Vegas they showcased six tablets all powered with the currently trending Android OS.

Coby is pleased to introduce six new Android powered tablets which are screen size from 7 to 10 inches. The price range of these tablets will be from $ 179 to $ 299. The good thing about this tablets is that they come pre-installed with Ice Cream Sandwich. These tablets runs on the ARM Cortex A8 processor from AllWinner clocked at 1 Ghz and comes with 1 Gb of RAM along with capacitive touchscreen display.

The following are the six variants of the Coby tablets –

  • Coby MID 7042 model – It’s a 7 inches Android tablet with maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and support on board storage of 4 GB along with front facing camera, USB Connector and mini HDMI. This tablet is priced at $ 179, the cheapest one in the line.
  • Coby MID 8042 model – It has 8 inches display screen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Provides up to 4 Gb of storage and has the same features as of the above MID 7042 tablets costing at $ 229.Coby 8042
  • Coby MID 9042 model – The MID 9042 is a 9 inches tablet with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 resolution with 8 GB of internal memory. It will be priced at $ 259 and it was not shown at CES.
  • Coby MID 9742 model – It has 9.7 inches display screen with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and it comes with 8 GB permanent in built memory. The cost of this tablet is $ 279.Coby 9742
  • Coby MID 1042 model – It has 10.1 inches display screen with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels resolution and comes with 8 GB in built memory.
  • Coby MID 1045 model – It is the highest model in the line of Coby tablets with 10.1 inches display running on the Android 4.0 with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 resolution along with 8 GB memory on board. Here is the proto type of it –

All the above tablets come with the wireless internet connectivity via Wi-Fi and allow you to connect and enjoy 1080p HD videos on your TV via HDMI cable. The sad thing one would look into it is the access to GetJar marketplace instead of Android Market to access the popular games and apps. As it’s a Google powered tablet it comes with various Google services pre-installed for you. Services include YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Calendar, Latitude and Google Search. It includes a micro SDHC memory card slot to store music, photos and videos up till 32 GB maximum memory card.
