Recently, the Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has launched a new smartphone called as Coolpad Fengshang MAX in China. The smartphone sports an all-metal unibody design that mostly resembles the recently launched HTC One A9. The only difference is the fingerprint sensor on the Coolpad Fengshang MAX is placed on the rear side of the device.
Coming to its specifications, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full-HD liquid crystal display with 401 ppi as pixel density and 2.5D arc Gorilla Glass protection on top of it. Under the hood, is the Snapdragon 615 64-bit Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB/4GB of RAM. The device comes with 32Gb/64GB/128GB of internal storage and is also further expandable to 128GB using a microSD card slot.
On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers. It features hybrid SIM slot with dual sim dual standby support and offers standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port.
The handset comes backed by a 2800mAh battery that the company claims can last upto 17 hours of talk time and 310 hours of standby time. It also comes with quick charge support that can juice the battery from 0% to 65% in just 30 minutes. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Coolpad 8.0 UI out of the box and is available in colors- Gold, Grey, and Pink.
The Coolpad Fengshang MAX is the China-only device, and it is priced at 2499 Yuan (approx $390) for the 3GB RAM variant while the 4GB RAM with 64GB/128GB storage options costs 3299 Yuan (approx $516) and 3599 Yuan (approx $563) respectively. As per now, the company has no plans to launch the device outside China. Stay tuned for more details!
