Coolpad released the Coolpad Note 3 smartphone in October last year and was successful as it came with features like 3GB of RAM and fingerprint sensor. Later, the company launched the smaller variant called as Coolpad Note 3 Lite which was one of the most affordable smartphones with fingerprint sensor at Rs. 6,999. Today, the brand has unveiled the upgraded variant called as Coolpad Note 3 Plus in India. The smartphone comes with almost similar to the Note 3 with the only significant difference being the display resolution.
Coming to the specifications part, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus flaunts the same 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display that offers a pixel density of 401ppi when compared to Note 3 that was just limited to HD resolution. Under the hood, the device comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM for smooth and hassle free performance. It has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 64GB.
The device supports dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE and other basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG functionality. On the camera department, the smartphone sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording, and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and stunning selfie images. The smartphone also includes a fingerprint sensor at the back of the unit for enhanced security.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Cool UI 6.0 overlaid and will possibly be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in near future. The handset powers a 3000mAh battery that the company claims can easily last for an entire day on a single charge and also supports Fast Charging technology. The dimensions of the device measure 151 x 77 x 9.3 mm weighs around 168 grams and comes in White with Gold color option. The Coolpad Note 3 Plus is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will be available for purchase online exclusively via Amazon India starting May 13th.
