Google announces Android Studio 1.1 RC1 with bug fixes – Download Now

Android is incomplete without speaking about development and for all those developers out there, here comes one more exciting news for your android tool, Android Studio. Android Studio finally gets an update tweak and the new update is dubbed as v1.1 RC1 which comes with the small set of bug fixes. Compared to the Beta 4 release which was released last week, this update comes with the minor bug fixes. While no software or application is bug free, this Android Studio too comes with some of the known issues which can be referred.

While you can check for updates from the path Help > Check for Update… (on OSX, look in the Android Studio menu) after which this will download and install the small patch rather than downloading the full IDE image. If you are on the older version of Studio, then you might not be able to apply this patch as you will have to migrate to the newer version of Android Studio which can also be downloaded directly from the below mentioned links;

Please note that 1.1 RC 1 is the build which is available on the Canary channel while Android Studio 1.0 will be the default one which is on the stable channel. So if you wish to update, you need to open the preference dialog from Updates category and then change the channel setting. This will make sure that you are on the stable channel rather than migrating to the canary builds which may not be stable all the times.
