NANDROID Backup –
The Nexus 10 Toolkit would perform a FULL NANDROID Backup of your system (Boot, Cache, Data, Recovery and System) via adb and save in Custom Recovery format on your PC, and this backup can be later Restored via CWM Recovery

For those who are wondering whether it is possible to root the Nexus 10 using this toolkit without unlocking the bootloader, it isn’t possible because you would need to have the bootloader unlocked as the booting and flashing of images can be done only when the unlock is done. You can again lock the bootloader after rooting the device.

Nexus 10 Toolkit Options

Rarely there are users who might not be able to install the drivers of the Nexus 10 in their Windows 8 OS, and that’s an issue with the Driver Signature Enforcement. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Go to Settings by moving your mouse to the extreme right corner where the pop-out bar would appear, and then click on the wrench icon
  • Click on “More Settings” and then “General”
  • Scroll down, and click ‘Restart now’ under ‘Advanced startup’.
  • Click ‘Troubleshoot’.
  • Click ‘Advanced Options’
  • Click ‘Windows Startup Settings’
  • Click Restart.
  • After the computer restarts you would need to click on “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement” from the list, and then the driver installation would happen without a problem.
