Skype is for always, one of the best messengers for desktops, tablet devices and for the mobile phones. But for Android, it had limited functionality, and things were limited to skype call, video call etc. Now Skype has launched their new version for the Android OS where you get to send photos and videos to your friends. This is a perfect addition when people were onto the hunt for apps and used a few like Viber, Whatsapp to share the audio and video files, along with the pictures, but now as the 2.6 version of Skype is out with the same features which the other apps provided, Skype can be the only app with all the needed communication functionality.
Apart from the sharing options, the new version of Skype even brings a few other improved features which include the increased battery life and the quality of video being better. The video quality improvement would be seen in the large tablet devices with the NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset, especially the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the Motorola Xoom and the Acer Iconia tablet.
The sharing options too are pretty easy, as you just need to go to the contact page and from there you would find all the options for sending files, either the audio, recording, video or the picture files from the gallery. And what you receive can be seen directly from the contact page who sent you those files. It doesn’t have a separate section for the sent and received files.
Skype now has included the support of video calling for all devices which have the Android operating system after 2.2 Froyo version. And we tested the quality of video in the video call, and it surely has got better for the front cameras too, which are usually the ones used for the video calling.
