Foursquare now Supports P2P NFC Tag Reading Capabilities

foursquareFoursquare a location based social networking site especially for mobile phones also providing check in services is now optimized for perfect functionality on Android 4.0 platform. Foursquare is penetrating much more like a serious application than just being an application with fancy badges. Until now this mobile phone used to support Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Android 3.x Honeycomb operating system for tablets. With Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich coming out with various features like Near Field Communication technology and the Android beam technology, Foursquare application will be benefited with it.

With this update to Foursquare means that users will be able to able to share Foursquare information such as venues, lists and user profile by simple tap touch and share with your friends. Users can also use NFC tag reading capabilities to check in to the locations. This will completely provide an experience more personal. Not only with the Android phones that you can tap and share you locations but users can also make share it with Symbian based mobile phones as there is a Symbian app for that which was introduced early in November 2011. Remember that for Foursquare to work perfectly for sharing NFC Tags and others information your phone should support NFC feature.

Coming to the Foursquare they have expanded its services and now they have added menus of restaurants and bar listings. This opens the possibilities of users to search, find, check in and pay for services without leaving your favorite app. Also in the news that Foursquare has also launched a mobile browser app too.

As of now we don’t have many Android 4.0 powered mobile phone but down the line within few months we will see more devices coming out with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and this FourSquare update early means that they are serious into their business.
