Procedure to Root Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE:
- First up you need to Download Clock Work MOD Recovery for Galaxy Nexus in your computer.
- Place this downloaded Zip file in your SDK / Tools folder after which you need to Download Super user file which is also the rooting file.
- Up next open the command prompt in your computer and enter the command which is mentioned below,
adb push su.zip /sdcard/
- Now, you need to reboot the phone in the boot loader by connecting the phone to the computer to the computer using the USB cable and then enter the command mentioned below,
adb reboot bootloader
- Now as soon as the boot menu loads up, you need to flash the recovery image which is mentioned below,
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-toro.img
- Now as soon as the process gets finished, you need to select the option of “Recovery MODE” with the help of power button and then you will be there in the recovery mode.
- Now, select “Choose Zip from SD CARD” and select the file which is named as “su.zip” and then install the same.
- So as soon as the process is done, you will now need to proceed to get into the recovery by selecting “ ++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose the option of reboot system now.
So, that’s it you have now successfully rebooted the device and have successfully rooted and installed the custom recovery image in your phone. Please note that once the phone boots up, you need to download and install the “ROM Manager” application. In an unfortunate event if the process is interrupted then you will have to repeat the whole procedure from the start so as to again successfully update the phone.
