In the latest, Samsung rolled out the latest version of ICS 4.0.3 dubbed as XXLQ2 firmware for its United Kingdom & Ireland users which is one of the stable versions of ICS as of now. Since, it’s a boot loader free update, anyone can apply this update in their Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 phone.  Please note that this firmware of XXLQ2 is the Official firmware released by Samsung Electronics.

  • Charge left in your Galaxy Note should be at least 50% so as to ensure that your Note doesn’t turn off in the middle of firmware update process. Also, you need to enable the USB Debugging Mode from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked as shown in the below screen capture.
  • Disable / Close all the security firewall tools and antivirus programs running in your phone and computer as these tools generally interrupt the process of firmware update.
