Procedure to Update Galaxy SII GT I9100G with the Joel Droid Jellybean 4.1.2 Custom ROM Firmware:
- Download the Joel Droid Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware package from here to your computer. Once downloaded connect your device to the computer and place the zip file in your device.
- Disconnect the device and download the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store. Now, select “reboot into recovery mode” for rebooting the device in the recovery mode. In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”. If the device starts normally, then you will need to re try the process of entering the device in the recovery mode.
- Select “Now, select “install zip from sd card” to choose the placed Jellybean 4.1.2 Joel Droid firmware package Zip Package. It will take around 3 – 5 minutes for applying the update. Please note that sometimes it may take more than expected time for updating the same. Once the update is applied, it may take longer time for reboot as it’s the first time after booting the device.
- Now, once the firmware is updated, select “go back” and select “reboot system now”. To check on whether the firmware is updated or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” for checking the same.
Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.
