Gionee Launches Pioneer P5L and CTRL V6L in India – Specs & Details

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Gionee has unveiled two new 4G LTE ready smartphones in the Indian market. Gionee’s new offerings are the V6L LTE and Pioneer P5L LTE. Gionee also announced the P4S and P6 smartphones for Indian market. Gionee declared that all their future smartphone that are priced Rs 10,000 and above will feature 4G LTE functionality next year onwards.

The Gionee V6L LTE smartphone has a 5.0-inch IPS display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with 8GB of internal storage and expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It sports an 8MP rear camera and is powered by 1950mAh battery. The device comes with a unique PPT mode that lets users take pictures instead of notes and it also supports motion control gestures.

The Gionee Pioneer P5L LTE is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage and expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and sports a 5MP rear camera.

The other two models, Gionee Pioneer P4S and Gionee Pioneer P6, are non-LTE Android-based smartphones and can only support 3G networks. The Gionee Pioneer P4S houses a 4.5-inch display, while the Pioneer P6 features a 5-inch display. They are also powered by 1,800 mAh and 1,950 mAh batteries respectively. Apart from these two individualities the P4S and P6 feature similar specification.

Earlier this month, Gionee had announced Marathon M3 for Rs. 12999. It comes with a whooping 5000mAh battery. Gionee Marathon M3 has a 5-inch IPS display with 1280*720 pixels resolution. The phone comes with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded MicroSD card up to 128GB. Marathon M3 is powered by a MediaTek’s quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.3GHz which comes with Mali 450 GPU as the dedicated graphics card.The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The V6L LTE has been priced at Rs.15, 000. The Gionee Pioneer P5L LTE smartphone will retail at Rs.10, 000. These smartphones will go on sale in the Indian market starting mid-December.
