Along with the upgraded Marathon M5 Plus, Gionee also launched a special variant of the Marathon M5 called as Gionee Marathon M5 Enjoy Edition. The Marathon M5 Enjoy comes in Gold color variant and will be available in China along with the Marathon M5 Plus starting from December 25th priced at 1,999 Yuan (roughly $308).
The Marathon M5 Enjoy comes with an almost similar design like the Marathon M5 with the only difference being it includes a physical home button with a fingerprint sensor embedded into it. The company claims that the fingerprint sensor can unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds.
Talking about its specifications, the Marathon M5 Enjoy comes with a 5.5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood, it comes powered by MediaTek MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone features hybrid sim slot with dual sim dual standby support and also lets you use as a microSD card slot instead of the second sim.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper for video chats and crisp selfie images. The device comes with 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for expansion upto 128GB. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and a microUSB port.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Amigo 3.1 UI out of the box. The handset comes backed by a 5000mAh battery that the company claims can deliver upto 52 hours of talk time and upto 775 hours of standby time.
