A couple of weeks ago the Gionee GN9007 passed through the TENAA. As per the reports, Gionee GN9007 will be called as Gionee S5.1 Pro. The Gionee S5.1 Pro will sport a whole new design when compared to Gionee S5.1 and is likely to feature mid-range specifications. The device is officially announced in China today and is expected to be priced at $300 range.
Let’s deep dive into the specifications, the device will use a 5-inch (720 x 1280pixels) AMOLED display offering a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor alongside PowerVR G6200 GPU and 2GB RAM. It has 16GB onboard storage with microSD support for expansion. The device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter.
It comes packed with a 2400mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Amigo 3.1 OS. It has the dual sim dual standby support with 4G-LTE connectivity and other basic connectivity options. The handset is ultra-thin with just 6.45mm thickness.
S5.1 Pro is an upgraded version of S5.1 with a better display, CPU, camera, battery and OS. S5.1 featured a 4.8-inch 720p display, powered by Mediatek MT6592 Octa-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz alongside Mali-450MP4 GPU and 1GB RAM. The device has 16GB internal storage with no microSD card support. It sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat based Amigo 2.0 OS out of the box. Looking at the specs of S5.1 one can say that S5.1 Pro is improved in every aspect to compete in the highly crowded smartphone market.
A quick recall, prior this week Gionee launched two new devices in its new F series named F103 and F303 with 5-inch and 4.7-inch display respectively, and both the devices come with mid-range specifications. While F103 supported dual modes, i.e., both CDMA and GSM connectivity, F303 is a selfie-centric device targeting the young users.
