Its been so many years and still many might not have been able to attend this event just for the reason that the tickets get sold out within few seconds. So not to worry, Sundar Pichai from Google has an new alternative to the registration process. If you want to attend the Google I/O event this year then you need to simply express your interest by filling in the web form and then once registration process is done, Google will make use of lottery system to finalize the entries. This will make sure that users who generally get the tickets by using unfair means can be kept at bay. Pichai also added that, unlike previous years, Google will be streaming the I/O event LIVE this year via extended I/O community around the globe of whose details will soon be published.
Google I/O had become so popular of late that in 2013, the tickets were sold in mere seconds and Google’s system turned bonkers for few seconds. Last year, Google announced the Google PLAY Music along with the Chromebook pixel line up of laptops.Google also used the platform as a chance to show off redesigned versions of Google Maps which just went live today. Though Google should have ideally increased the capacity of the Google I/O users but considering the registration numbers which will be not less than in millions, this lottery system makes sense. Do let us know your thoughts on this lottery system introduction for choosing the Google I/O attendees in the comments section below. This year it will be further exciting as Google’s Senior Vice President Sundar Pichai hinted at bringing Google Glass for larger masses globally. We will keep you posted once the registration process for Google I/O kicks off which seems to be very soon within a month. Source
