A report suggests that Google might launch a new 7-inch tablet running its new operating system Andromeda on 4 October this year. The new tablet will have Nexus branding on the top and it will be made by Huawei. The new tablet will have a 7-inch display along with 4GB RAM out of the box.
Recently we also reported about the new Pixel 3 Laptop running Andromeda out of the box and will launch in Q3 2017. All these efforts by Google are planning to tighten its grip in hardware segment. Company also released a video hyping about new pixel smartphone. Although there is no confirmation about these devices and these are just speculations.
There are so many confusing things with these rumors. We know that Google is moving away with Nexus branding, but these reports still suggest devices with Nexus branding on top. Whatever is true one should take these reports as a pinch of salt only. Popular leakster Evan Blass also tweeted about the same tablet and also pointed out that it will release before the end of the year.
On the other hand, Andromeda could be released as a developer preview only. Pixel 3 will have 12.3-inch display along with 8GB or 16GB RAM. There will be 32GB or 128GB internal storage option. It will be powered by an Intel M3 or i5 Core processor. It will have a fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm jack, two USB-C ports. There will be support of Stylus as well.
The Pixel 3 keyboard will have backlit and there will be a glass trackpad with haptic and force detection. Pixel will be priced at $799 and the stylus will be sold separately. With new Andromeda running on Pixel 3, Goole will try to target Apple Macbook and Microsoft Surface devices. With Pixels on board, Company might also retire its Chromebooks over the period. But for that, we have to wait for until Q3 next year.
