It’s clear that Apple is front runner when it comes to tablet PC. Many tablets exist in the market but Apple iPad occupies more than 80 % of the market share. Surprising to all, HP has decided to end their TouchPad and webOS based products. And this also brings and ends to their planned Pre3. The question in everyone’s mind is did HP take a right move? Are they foolish or are they smart?
In an another news, HP has significantly reduced the price of their Wi-Fi TouchPad. This move from HP makes clear sign that they wants to clear off their inventories as soon as possible. The 16 GB WiFi TouchPad is on sale for a price of $ 99 and the 32 GB version of TouchPad is for sale at $ 149. It can be purchased online from official HP site and 32 GB version at price of $ 149.
Many of the e retailers has already selling this at the discounted price and they are already out of stock although the leading stores like Amazon, CircuitCity, Best Buy has listed it without the price drop.

At $ 99 for the HP TouchPad, I feel like it’s a good buy but you should also consider that the webOS platform of TouchPad looks shaky and has no guarantee support going forward. Apart from having a tablet which runs Android Honeycomb 3.x dual core processor, you also get 50 GB of cloud memory for lifetime at Box.net (this is an actual deal with every HP TouchPad sale). Overall, I would say not a bad deal, go for it.
