On one hand we have the HTC HD 7 and on the other Samsung Galaxy S II, choosing one between them is a tough task, the reason is pretty obvious; both are state of art Smartphones. If the form is in question, both the handsets are bars. And about the size, the HTC HD 7 is 122x68x11.2 mm whereas the Galaxy S2 is 125.3×66.1×8.5 mm. now, weight; the HTC HD 7 weighs 162 gm and the Galaxy S II weighs 116 gm.
Memory
The HTC HD 7 has a 16 GB internal Memory with 512 MB ROM, it does not offer any memory card slot. Now, the Galaxy S II; it has a 16 GB internal memory and that memory can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. This game also goes to the Galaxy.
Display
Both the phones have a 4.3 inch touch screen; the HTC HD 7 LCD capacitive, the Galaxy S II Super AMOLED with Gorilla Glass. Both the handsets have 16M colors. Both Smartphones have 400×800 pixel resolution. Though the resolution is same but Super AMOLED is still the champion.

The HTC HD 7 has a v2.1 with A2DP Bluetooth whereas the Galaxy S II has v3.0 + HS If we talk about the 2G and 3G, both phones are compatible in the said networks.
Battery
HTC HD 7 has a Standard battery, Li-Ion 1230 mAh which has a talk time of Up to 6 hours 20 min (2G) / Up to 5 hours 20 min (3G), it has a standby time of around 320 hours. As far as the Galaxy S II is concerned it has a Standard battery, Li-Ion 1650 mAh which has a talk time of Up to 1100 minutes (2G), up to 520 minutes (3G), up to 220 minutes(VT Call) and it has a 710 hours.
Software Comparison
Operating System
The most important section in the Software comparison is the OS section; I am not going to discuss why, everyone knows. The HTC has a Windows Phone 7 Operating System which is further upgradable to the newer versions. The Galaxy S II on the other hand is an Android 2.3.3 GingerBread Phone which is upgradable to the the 2.3.4 version.
Social Integration, Apps and output options
As far as the social integration is concerned the HTC HD 7 seem more a phone to look forward it possesses Digital compass, Facebook and Twitter integration, YouTube client, Pocket Office, Voice memo. The Galaxy S II has in answer have TV-out, Digital compass, Image/video editor, Document Editor, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration, SNS integration, Adobe Flash 10.1 support, Calculator, Calendar, Alarm, Organizer, Voice. In this battle, the Microsoft has made the HTC to Score Slightly over the Galaxy.

We all know that how important is a music player in any phone. The HTC HD 7 has MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+, the Galaxy S2 has MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC.
Price Comparison
For Indian customers, the HTC HD 7 will come at around 25,000 INR (Available cheap at few online stores also) and the Galaxy S II will be available for approximately 28,500 INR.
And for the users of other countries, the HTC HD 7 will come for $329 and the Galaxy S II for $559. Here one might think that HTC HD 7 is an easy grab.
The Verdict
After going through a comprehensive head to head comparison we see that in some areas like screen size and resolution, connectivity the HTC gives Galaxy some competition but in a broader perspective the Galaxy S II is a better choice, yes in spite of being a little costlier than the HTC HD 7.
